Summary: You may cancel your Revolution EDA subscription at any time. To be eligible for a refund, your cancellation request must be submitted with more than one calendar month remaining in your current subscription period. We apply a one-month notice period.

1. Scope
This Refund Policy applies to all paid subscriptions and commercial licenses purchased directly from Revolution EDA through our website or authorised channels. It forms part of the agreement between you and Revolution EDA and should be read alongside our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy.
This Policy does not apply to:
- Free or open-source tiers of the Revolution EDA platform
- Purchases made through third-party resellers or distributors (whose own refund terms apply)
- Custom enterprise contracts, which are governed by the terms of the signed agreement
2. Right of Withdrawal for Consumers
If you are a consumer (a natural person acting outside the scope of a trade, business, or profession) based in the European Union, you have a statutory right of withdrawal under the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU), as implemented in Dutch law (Burgerlijk Wetboek, Book 6, Articles 230o–230v).
2.1 Withdrawal Period
You have the right to withdraw from a subscription contract within 14 calendar days of the date of conclusion of the contract (the “cooling-off period”), without giving any reason, provided that:
- You have not yet commenced use of the Services during the cooling-off period, or
- You have commenced use but did not explicitly consent to waiving your right of withdrawal in exchange for immediate access
2.2 Waiver of Withdrawal Right
When you subscribe and request immediate access to the Services, we will ask for your explicit consent to begin performance before the end of the cooling-off period. By giving that consent, you acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once the service has been fully performed, or — for ongoing subscriptions — once you have commenced active use.
This waiver is presented clearly at the point of purchase and is required before access is granted.
2.3 Exercising Withdrawal
To exercise your withdrawal right within the 14-day window, notify us unambiguously in writing before the period expires:
Subject line: Withdrawal – [your account email]
We will confirm receipt and process a full refund within 14 days of receiving your withdrawal notice, using the same payment method you used for the original purchase.
3. Cancellation & Notice Period
Outside the statutory withdrawal period (or for business customers to whom the right of withdrawal does not apply), the following cancellation policy governs:
3.1 One-Month Notice Requirement
Revolution EDA requires a notice period of one full calendar month for subscription cancellations. This means your cancellation request must be submitted on a date that leaves more than one calendar month remaining in your current subscription period.
Example:
Your annual subscription renews on 1 September 2026. To receive a refund, your cancellation request must be received before 1 August 2026 — leaving more than one month until the renewal date. A request received on 5 August 2026 would fall within the one-month notice window and would not be eligible for a refund for the current period.
3.2 Cancellation After the Notice Window
If you cancel within the final month of your subscription period, the cancellation will take effect at the end of that period. No refund will be issued for the remaining days, but you will retain full access to the Services until the subscription expires. Your subscription will not auto-renew.
3.3 Auto-Renewal
Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled in accordance with this Policy. We will send a renewal reminder by email at least 30 days before the renewal date, giving you sufficient time to cancel within the notice period if you choose not to renew.
4. Refund Eligibility

5. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, please contact us by email with the following information:
Subject line: Refund Request – [your account email]
Please include:
- The email address associated with your Revolution EDA account
- Your subscription plan and the date it was purchased or last renewed
- The reason for your cancellation (optional, but helpful for improving our Services)
- Your preferred refund method (we refund to the original payment method by default)
We will acknowledge your request within 2 business days and confirm eligibility. If approved, the refund will be processed in accordance with Section 7.
6. Refund Calculation
Where a pro-rata refund is due, it is calculated as follows:
Refundable amount = (Daily rate × Remaining days) − (Daily rate × 30 notice days)
Or equivalently:
Refundable amount = Daily rate × (Remaining days − 30)
The daily rate is the total subscription price divided by the number of days in the subscription period (365 for annual plans, or the actual number of days for other billing cycles).
Example:
Annual subscription price: €120/year → daily rate: €0.329/day Cancellation submitted with 90 days remaining. Refundable days: 90 − 30 = 60 days Refund amount: 60 × €0.329 = €19.73
Refunds are calculated in euros (EUR). Any currency conversion costs are borne by the customer.
7. Processing & Payment
- Approved refunds are processed within 14 calendar days of confirmation
- Refunds are issued to the original payment method used at purchase
- Depending on your bank or payment provider, funds may take an additional 5–10 business days to appear in your account
- We do not issue refunds in cash, cryptocurrency, or to a different payment method than the one used for the original purchase, except where technically impossible (e.g. an expired card), in which case we will contact you to arrange an alternative
8. Non-Refundable Items
The following are not eligible for refunds under any circumstances (except where required by mandatory Dutch or EU consumer law):
- One-time commercial licence purchases — perpetual licences are non-refundable once the licence key has been delivered
- Add-on services already rendered — such as completed professional services, installation support, or training sessions
- Fees incurred due to policy violations — accounts suspended or terminated for breach of the Terms & Conditions are not eligible for refunds
- Bank or transaction fees charged by third-party payment providers — these are outside our control and are not reimbursed
9. Exceptional Circumstances
We handle the following situations on a case-by-case basis and encourage you to contact us to discuss:
Extended service outage: If the Services experience an unplanned outage or material degradation attributable to Revolution EDA lasting more than 48 consecutive hours within a billing period, affected subscribers may be eligible for a pro-rata credit or partial refund for that period.
Serious illness or incapacity: We will treat requests with compassion where a subscriber is unable to use the Services due to serious illness or comparable personal circumstances. Documentation may be requested.
Billing errors: If you were charged incorrectly due to a system error on our part, we will issue a full correction and refund without applying the notice period.
In all exceptional cases, please contact support@reveda.eu with relevant details and we will respond within 5 business days.
10. Consumer Rights
Nothing in this Refund Policy limits or excludes any rights you have as a consumer under mandatory Dutch or EU law, including:
- The statutory right of withdrawal under the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU) and Burgerlijk Wetboek Book 6
- Rights under the EU Digital Content Directive (2019/770/EU) regarding digital services that do not conform to the contract
- The right to proportionate price reduction or termination where the service is not delivered as agreed
Where there is any conflict between this Policy and your mandatory statutory rights, your statutory rights prevail.
